Developer blog
Notes from the API team
Why the platform is shaped the way it is, what a decision cost, and how to use the parts that are not obvious. Written for the developers integrating against SIDES — not for a press release.

Everything published so far
Rendered from GET /v1/publication/public/blog-posts, newest first. A
post scheduled for a future date is not here and cannot be reached by its link
either — the date is enforced where it matters, on the server.
Nothing published yet
No article has been published so far. A post scheduled for a future date is not shown until that date arrives.
About these articles
What this blog is, and what it is not
- Its authors build the platform themselves
- Every article names its author. What you read here is how the platform actually works, including the parts that are awkward — a design note that only described the good half would not be worth the reading time it claims.
- It is not the changelog
- A change to the API is recorded in the changelog, with its version, its date and the endpoints it touches. This blog explains; the changelog records. If you need to know whether something broke, the changelog is the page that answers.
- It is not the reference either
- Every endpoint, parameter and error lives in the API reference — in the partner portal since it stopped being a public document, and summarised for everyone on the developer page. It is generated from the same specification the server validates itself against. An article may show you how to use three endpoints together; it never becomes a second description of one.
- Categories and tags are how it is filed
- Each article carries one category and any number of tags. Both are links: following one asks the API for that slug rather than narrowing this page in the browser, so the result is a real page you can bookmark and share.
Reading is the cheap half
Registration creates your business partner, your first administrator and your subscription in one step — and the API is the same one every article here is about.
